Creation of pool of resource person on RTI
A meeting was taken up with the COmmissioner-cum-Secretary, Panchayati Raj Deptt. and Director, State Institute for Rural Development in order to create a pool of Resource persons for promotion of the RTI Act and its rules in the three tier Panchayati Raj Institution, Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samities and Zila Parishads.
Accordingly A sum of Rs. 4,15,200/- was placed with Director, State Institute for Rural Development for training of trainings as RTI with the avelable services of the State level trainers and District level trainers for effective implementation of the Act.

Creation of awareness through National Service Scheme (NSS) Volunteers
The National Service Scheme (NSS) dedicated to community service in India creates a bond between the campus and the community and forms an excellent opportunity for dissemination of information on RTI to people at grass roots level.
To utilise the services of NSS volunteers for creating awarness in the provisions of RTI in Odisha a meeting was taken up with the Asst. Programme Adviser, Ministry of youth Affairs and sports, NSS regional centre, Bhubaneswar, SLO-cum-Deputy Secretary, Higher Education Deptt., the programme coordination council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha and programme coordination of different universities It was decideded to train volunteers on RTI who in turn will sensitise students of colleges and people of their adopted villages and slums. RTI clinics will be established in the remote areas. Subsequently RTI will become a central part of the NSS agenda and will be incorporated into NSS regular activities.
Accordingly A sum of Rs. 5,58,700/- was placed at the disposal of council of Higher Secondary Education, Bhubaneswar for organisation of an interactive programme to create awareness among the NSS volunteers of the State on the provisions of the RTI Act, 2005.

Organisation of Seminars & Workshops
To create awareness on the provisions of the RTI Act,2005 and the Odisha Rules framed thereunder funds was placed with Collector & District Magistrate
I) Amounting to Rs. 3,00,000/- for organisation of workshop at District Level @ ` 10,000/- per workshop.
II) Amounting to Rs. 5,25,000/- for orgnisation of interactive workshop at urban bodies level @ Rs. 5,000/- per workshop and Rs. 10,000/- for workshop at Cuttack Municipal Corporation and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.
III) Amounting to Rs. 25,12,000/- for organisation of Interactive workshop at Block level @ Rs. 8,000/- per block.

Raising awareness through radio on the provisions of RTI Act, 2005 during running commentry on Rathyatra
In order to popularise the theme of RTI act, 2005 spots and jingles were broadcast through Prasar Bharati Commercial Broadcast Service in All India Radio, Cuttack during the Rath Yatra running commentry on 04/07/08 at a cost of Rs. 29,397/-.

Training of Public Authorities
The State Commission has placed funds with the following training institutions to organise training programme to create awareness ont he provissions of the RTI Act, 2005 and Odisha Rules framed thereunder.

2) Madhusudan Institute of Cooperative Management, Bhubaneswar Rs. 67,700/
3) State Institute of Health & Family Welfare, Bhubaneswar Rs. 59,920/-
4) Home Economic & Training Centre, Bhubaneswar Rs. 50,000/-

Preparation of Posters on RTI
Four different multi coloured posters on RTI was prepared at a cost of Rs. 1,63,496/- in eight tribal languages i.e. Sadri, Santali, Saora, Kuvi, Kui, Munda, Desia, Koya through Odisha State Bureau of Text Book preparation and production, Bhubaneswar

Preparaction of Braille version of the RTI
Braille version of the RTI set of hand books (The Act, the Rules and FAQ) have been prepared for use at a cost of Rs. 23,000/- in collaboration with Odisha Acsociations for the Blinds, Bhubaneswar

Preparation of Hindi version of FAQ on RTI
The Hindi version of FAQ on RTI have been prepared at a cost of Rs. 34,814/-
